Dear Breeders,

53 PinniPups have been found in the Wild!

Availability of eggs has been steadily decreasing. As of today we believe that the Wild population of PinniPups will need time to recuperate, and therefore we are no longer allowing PinniPup eggs to brought back to farms. For the foreseeable future we will need to breed our own PinniPups. Soon we will see a population boom, and PinniPup’s will be released back into the Wild, stabilizing the population once again.

In other news, industrious breeders have erected a bonfire at the entrance to the Wild. It’s a lovely place to get warm before going on a search. Also, check out the store for the new Beach Ball toy! It is quite fun to bounce around.

The first PinniPups have hatched!

Thanks to BeHappyNow xD, Princess and .Matt. for bringing back these lovely specimens.

The analysis of the egg provided key insight in visualizing the PinniPup before it hatched. The sharp patterns on the surface match the quills that adorn their backs. One breeder even produced drawings with prescient detail! Indeed, when they hatched it was almost as if we had already seen them!

The PinniPup is a docile creature at home in the sea, and on land! Keep an eye out for its characteristic hop; they are very playful.

There have been murmurs within the breeding community that taking too many PinniPups from the Wild will upset the delicate balance of this creature in nature. They are quite rare, and we must be mindful of the Wild population. So far over 30 PinniPup eggs have been found. I’ll keep the community updated with census reports.

Exciting news! The first eggs of a new species are being brought back from the Wild!

The markings on this egg are extraordinary. Perhaps if we analyze them we can make a hypothesis as to what this creature will look like…

We’ve updated the messaging interface!

We now have separate tabs for the live Community feed, Trades and Notifications (which used to be System Messages).

Oh, and we can’t forget about Eleanor, our helpful “Tutoria-Dillo”! She loves helping new users…

…and eating barrels of food!

Also, just to clarify any confusion: Growth Salve, which hatches an egg in 60 seconds, is only meant for new users! It is a limited supply. A few of them got traded due to a loophole, but it is fixed now. Thanks goes to our vigilant community for pointing out the loophole!

Dear Breeders,

We’ve had a few questions about the new moderator: -=]Merlin. Merlin, also known as Michael, is an old friend of Aemon’s. We invited Michael to work with us on Creature Breeder because of his enthusiasm for the game and its community, as well as his experience in product management. As you can see, we’ve had a productive couple of months while working with Michael! Aemon and I are very pleased with his presence on CB and we look forward to many exciting months to come.

I also wanted to mention a few new accessories in the store:

I’ve gotten some requests for more options for drawing outlines, I think these smaller rocks will prove helpful. I’m very curious to see how the stone blocks will be used :).

Oh! One more thing, someone noticed that the old tree stump in the Wild has changed…that must have slipped my attention. Perhaps it is a sign of new things to come? ;)
